The National Art Gallery in Yerevan has more than 16,000 works that date back to the Middle Ages,which indicate Armenia's rich tales and stories of the times.It houses paintings by many European masters as well.
The Modern Art Museum,th Children's picture Gallery,and the Martiros Saryan Museum are only a few of the older noteworthy collections of fine arton display Yerevan.Moreover,many private galleries are in operation with many more opening every year,featuring rotating exhibitions and sales..



ARMENIAN CUISINE:
Armenian cusine is as ancient as the history of Armenia, a combination of different taste and aromas.Their food often has quite a distinct smell.Closely related to easten and Mediterranean cusine,various spices,vegetable,fish and also fruits combine to present unique dishes.Throughout history,Armenian cusine has had culture exchange with the ctusines of neighboring countries, example (Persian,Greek,Russian,Turkish and Arab).
Armenia is also famous for its wine and brandy.In particular,Armenian cognac is reowned worldwide(winner of serveral awards),and was also considered by the late British Prime Minister,Sir Winston Churchill, as his favorite.It has been referred too as the food of today..

The pomegranate,with its symbolic associationwith fertility,is the national fruit.

PRESIDENT OF ARMENIA:
NAME:Serzh Sargsyan
BORN:June 30th 1954
ABOUT HIM:
Serzh Sargsyan was born in the City of Stepanakert,where he completed the secondary life.In
1971,he was admitted to Yerevan State University.During 1972-1974,he served in the USSR
armed force. In 1979, he graduated from Philological Department of Yerevan State University.
He started his career in 1975 at the Electrical Devices Factory,where he worked as a mental
turner until 1979.

FAMILY:
Serzh Sargsyan was married in 1983, his wife-Rita sargsyan,was born in Stepanakert,in a
military family.She is a music teacher by profession.
Serzh Sargsyan has two daughter, namely,Anush and Satenik,and one granddaughter,Mariam.
